Research Supervisor

The Research Supervisor, reporting to the CEO, is responsible for overseeing the research reports disseminated on behalf of Gravitas Securities Inc. The incumbent’s primary duties will be the oversight of all reports to ensure accuracy and that all reports are compliant with industry and firm standards.

Key Accountabilities:
• Supervision of all research analysts and associates;
• Review and approval of all research reports prior to dissemination;
• Assess trends in business practices, products and industry competition;
• Keep on top of new regulations and policies that may affect the industry; and
• Monitor the economy to determine its effects on earnings.

Knowledge and Skills:
• 7+ years of experience relating to equity research;
• A demonstrated history of delivering research contributing to strong investments performance results with an ability to influence outcomes;
• Overall strong knowledge of fundamental research, company analysis, stock recommendations, financial modeling and forecasting to support analysis and investment recommendations;
• Participate in client/prospect/consultant reviews regarding your team’s investment and research processes and performance;
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; results driven with the ability to creatively problem solve;
• Highly organized with attention to detail;
• Previous managerial experience desired;
• Demonstrated personal and professional integrity.

Education:
• Undergraduate Degree in Economics or related field;
• CFA Designation required;
• and / or other industry related courses that would demonstrate competency for this role.
